As in...

Backtrack
Backtrack is what you do when you have tried to touch base unsuccessfully or want to repeat what was said earlier. May be used to trump the "Going forward" card.
Likewise can be used to skip over unwanted points.
As in...
Going forward, I would like to backtrack to a previous topic in our conversation.

So from what I'm hearing, we've got a commitment and c-level buy-in on the strategic job descriptions and going forward we are going to start calling Managers, Buttholes. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my take on the call.
