Take a step back

Taught by Lecturer Rapscallion | Permalink | Tagged as figuratively speaking, leverage, leveraging, maximize, me personally, roi-driven, take a step back, true importance, | Comments »

To figuratively, but not literally, move away from something so as to gain a new, extraordinary insight into it, because being too close to it has clouded the ability to accurately understand or describe it.

As in...
High-level thinker girl: We need to take a step back from this for a second, and try to really understand it. I mean REALLY understand it.

Right now, I don't think any of us in this room really gets the true importance of leveraging drinking from the water hose, and applying our skillsets to maximizing the ROI-driven gains on the burning babies dilemma, and that is very concerning to me, personally.

Other takes: take a step back

Actually, this definition sucks. Let me add my own. You can also share "take a step back" with a friend or share it on Twitter.

Make sense? Let's discuss.
