A phrase used to assert or reassert control over a conversation's direction or topic. While this phrase can be used diplomatically, it is often used to steal momentum from a conversation leader or presentation maker.

As in...
Phil, before you describe your idea to the team further, let's walk it back a few steps to get a better idea of your underlying assumptions for it.
