Last nail in the coffin

The idea that there is just one last piece to a puzzle, and that puzzle is a problem, and that problem needs just one small, but significant action in order to cause a death.

As in...
Jim the office supply guy: When you took that last coffee cup from the break room, after I had my eye on a nice tasty cup all morning, you really put the last nail in the coffin of my morning.

Actually, this definition sucks. Let me add my own. You can also share "last nail in the coffin" with a friend or share it on Twitter.

Make sense? Let's discuss.
